Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licence of three debt collection businesses for:
- Failing to provide the required annual financial statement within 90 days of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022, contrary to section 10 (1) of the Debt Collection and Repayment Regulation
The businesses with suspended licences are:
- GCC Collection Inc. (head office)

The businesses must not engage in the business or occupation of “debt collection agent” or conduct designated debt collection activities while the licence remains suspended.
By law, the individual/business has 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decision.
