Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licences of four home inspectors in BC for:
- Failing to obtain and maintain insurance, contrary to section 7.1 (b) of the Home Inspector Licensing Regulation
The individuals/businesses with suspended licences are:
1. Sandra Byers, of West Kootenay Home Inspection Services (DBA Pillar to Post Professional Home Inspection) based in Nelson, BC
- Licence suspended on September 12, 2022

2. Barry Chickloski, of Skyview Inspection 360 Ltd. based in Penticton, BC
- Licence suspended on September 12, 2022

3. Xun Dong Liang, of Clear Sense Home Inspection Services based in Burnaby, BC
- Licence suspended on September 12, 2022

4. Joshua D’Rozario, of Seguro Home Inspections based in Surrey, BC

These home inspectors are prohibited from conducting home inspections until their licence suspension is lifted.
By law, the individual/businesses have 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decisions.
