Victoria BC, January 22, 2025 – Consumer Protection BC is thrilled to announce the appointment of Louise Hartland (she/her) as our new Director of Public Relations, effective January 13. Louise brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in media relations and corporate engagement.
Louise began her career in journalism as a producer and writer for CTV, where she honed her skills in consumer issues and media production for nearly two decades. Over the years, she has built strong relationships with media and consumer interest groups across British Columbia, demonstrating her ability to effectively communicate and advocate on behalf of organizations.
Most recently, Louise served as the Lead of Corporate Engagement and Recognition Programs for the BC Public Service. In this role, she was instrumental in developing and executing strategies that enhanced corporate visibility and partner engagement.
