Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licences of two home inspectors in BC for:
- Failing to obtain and maintain insurance, contrary to section 7.1 (b) of the Home Inspector Licensing Regulation
The individuals/businesses with suspended licences are:
- Dwight Elwood Carroll/AKELA Quality Technology
- Licence suspended on June 18, 2020 until further notice
- Read the licence suspension
- Ken Phillips/Expert Home Inspection Services Ltd.
- Licence suspended on June 18, 2020 until further notice
- Read the licence suspension
By law, each business has 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decision. Businesses or individuals must not operate with a suspended licence.
