Motion Picture Screening Request Form

Classification is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Screening Request Forms must be submitted to our office at least two weeks prior to the first public screening date. Films submitted with less than two-weeks notice are subject to current submission volume, and we cannot guarantee they will be classified prior to the screening date.

  • Submissions that contain any watermarks will not be accepted and the scheduled screening will be forfeited.

  • Estimated time of arrival at the Consumer Protection BC Offices.

  • Please indicate the length, in minutes, of the motion picture you are submitting. Please note, this information will be used for scheduling purposes only. Classification fees will be calculated based on the actual running time observed during review.
  • By submitting this form, you are automatically submitting your motion picture to be classified for theatrical exhibition in BC. Through our administrative agreements with Manitoba and Saskatchewan, we also issue classification certificates for motion pictures intended for exhibition in those provinces. Classification certificates issued in BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are subject to the fees per our current fee schedule Please indicate which certification(s) you require:
  • I acknowledge that the motion picture I submit for classification is complete and identical to the version distributed to theatres for public exhibition, free of all watermarks and/or timecodes. I understand that if I submit a non-identical copy, or if I do not submit an identical copy in advance of my scheduled review date, my scheduled screening will be forfeited
