November is Financial Literacy Month in Canada. All month long, organizations from the public, private and voluntary sectors work together to raise the profile of the importance of financial literacy in today’s world, to show Canadians the benefits of financial literacy in their daily lives and the real dangers they face without it.
There are many activities happening across Canada throughout the month, including a video contest put on by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada. If you are between the ages of 13 and 19 and have access to a video camera, check it out (you could win an iPod Touch, an iPad or even a 13″ MacBook Pro). All details pertaining to Financial Literacy Month can be found at Financial Consumer Agency of Canada website, including an online calendar of events where Canadians can see the activities and events slated for their city and province.
As for us, we will be “talking financial literacy” throughout the month so be sure to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. We will also be sharing great tips from consumers on how to save money!
