Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licences of two home inspectors in BC for:
- Failing to obtain and maintain insurance, contrary to section 7.1 (b) of the Home Inspector Licensing Regulation
The individuals/businesses with suspended licences are:
1. Shahram Alikahi of Hope Construction Inc., based in West Vancouver, BC
- Licence suspended on August 3, 2023

2. Sasan Ghanbari of Hope Construction Inc., based in West Vancouver, BC
- Licence suspended on August 3, 2023

The two home inspectors are also prohibited from conducting home inspections until their licence suspension is lifted.
By law, the individuals/businesses have 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decisions.
