Hi Melaina, I subscribed to Juan TV of Vancouver and I was sent a top-box with a deposit of $50.00. The contract calls for a TV channel for Filipino programs in the Philippines. But I heard that the project was cancelled. I want to return the top-box and get my deposit. What shall I do? They don’t response to my request. Can you help me?

Hi Joaquin — Thank you for reaching out to us. While this doesn’t sound like something that would be covered by the laws we oversee, I do have some information that I hope will be helpful. First, take a close read of your contract’s terms and conditions to find out your cancellation rights. If you do have the right to cancel, the best thing to do is submit a written request to cancel and send it in a way that you can prove the company received it (such as by registered mail).
